A Maryland high school went into lockdown Tuesday morning after police say a teen was found with a firearm on campus.

Prince George’s County Police said Charles Herbert Flowers High School was placed on lockdown “out of an abundance of caution” at around 9:40 a.m. on Nov. 18, after a gun was located on school grounds.

Officers immediately responded, and a student was taken into custody, police said.

There were no injuries and no current threat to students or the community, according to the department. The investigation remains active.
