McCOMB, Ohio — An 81-year-old man from North Baltimore, Ohio, was killed in a one-car crash Tuesday morning in Hancock County.

According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Arthur Patterson, Jr., was westbound on Portage Township Road 21, west of State Rt. 613, when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the left side of the road.

Mr. Patterson’s SUV then veered back across the road, going off the right side, where it overturned. Mr. Patterson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident was found just before 5 a.m. Tuesday. Crews had had been on the lookout for Mr. Patterson’s vehicle since earlier in the morning when he was reported missing to North Baltimore police.
