STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. — Stockbridge Police said they are investigating a stabbing that left a 75-year-old woman dead Monday night.

Stockbridge Police said officers were called to a house on Club Drive at around 9:42 p.m. on Nov. 18, in reference to a suspicious person.

Once on scene, officers made contact with the son, who was identified as Desmond Riley, in the front yard of the home. Police said he told them that his mom was dead in the house.

When officers went inside the home, police said they located the victim, Dianna Cleveland, with stab wounds.

Riley was immediately detained and taken into custody. His charges are currently pending and have not been released at this time.
