KILLEEN, Texas — A federal judge sentenced a former Killeen Housing Authority executive director today on embezzling U.S. government funds for personal use.
DeAdra Johnson plead guilty to one count of theft of government property in Feb. 2025, after initially being indicted on nine embezzlement charges and one count of making false statements. She was sentenced today on a charge of Theft of Government Property.
Johnson was sentenced to 37 months in prison and was ordered to pay $297,473.30 in restitution fines.
“In stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars while overseeing the Killeen Housing Authority, Deadra Johnson selfishly betrayed not just the federal government and American taxpayers, but also the hundreds of families who depended on KHA services,” said U.S. Attorney Justin R
