Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has exposed the Pakistan government's terror policy, which he said benefits from "fake" terrorist attacks in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Afridi accused Islamabad of fuelling staged terrorist attacks, even while blocking efforts towards peace in the volatile Khyber region, according to TOLO News. He accused Islamabad of "manufacturing terrorism" for its political agenda.

His statement comes amid a surge in violence that has plagued the northwestern province bordering Afghanistan. Afridi alleged that certain powerful factions in the federal setup benefit from perpetuating instability.
