BENGALURU: The Wilson Garden police arrested an individual on Monday afternoon, who had threatened to carry out a blast at a Metro station. The arrested accused is Raju (62). He does not have any family members in Kadugodi. He was behaving like a mentally ill person after divorcing his wife.

He allegedly sent an e‑mail to BMRCL from an address bearing the name Rajiv Shetty, on November 11, threatening a bomb blast. A complaint was filed by BMRCL Assistant Managing Engineer Rathish.

According to the complaint, the accused is mentally harassing his divorced wife, a metro staffer. The accused had threatened to blow up a metro station in the city.
