CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating five break-ins of businesses in Hyde Park Tuesday morning.

Three of the break-ins occurred between 2-3 a.m. in the 1600-block of East 55th Street, with a fourth taking place at 3 a.m. in the 1600-block of East 56th Street.

A fifth break-in took place at about 5:07 a.m. in the 1600-block of East 55th Street.

Police said in each of the burglaries, the suspects broke or damaged the front door of the business before fleeing in an unknown direction.

In the break-in at the 1600-block of East 56th Street, police said the suspects took property from the business, police said. It is not known if property was taken during the other break-ins, police said.
