Millions of Americans who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, will soon have to reapply for benefits. That’s according to Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins who revealed the plan during an interview last week with Newsmax.

Rollins said President Donald Trump and his administration have made solving fraud in the benefit program a priority. After obtaining data from 29 states, Rollins said her department has uncovered hundreds of thousands of cases of benefits being sent to deceased people or people receiving multiple sets of benefits.

Rollins said that restructuring the system will weed out those taking advantage of it and make better use of program funds.
