SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A Scott County detention center employee is accused of impersonating a police officer.
Homer Johnson, 61, was arrested early Saturday morning.
Mt. Sterling police say he used his car, equipped with police lights and a backseat cage, to pull over a man in an SUV.
Johnson was wearing his work shirt and a badge at the time.
The driver and Johnson got into a fight. The SUV hit a building, then the other man drove off.
Johnson pursued.
Kentucky State Police later found Johnson. Troopers say he had two juveniles in the back seat.
He’s charged with impersonating a peace officer, leaving the scene of an accident and wanton endangerment.
