BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — A judge in Columbia said Monday that a ruling on the fate of a liquor license for a St. Helena Island bar will come in the coming days.
The liquor license for Willie’s Bar and Grill will remain suspended until a decision is made, WTOC-TV reported.
The bar was the scene of one of Beaufort County’s deadliest mass shootings on Oct. 12, when four people were killed and 15 others were wounded, deputies said.
Deputies charged 27-year-old Anferny Freeman with four counts of murder, one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and one count of aggravated breach of peace.
Tanner said one of the four victims killed in the shooting, Kashawn Glaze, 22, of Beaufort, was one of three shooters at the scene that night.
