Akron City Council approved a plan to rebuild Pfeiffer Elementary and the Miller South School for the Visual and Performing Arts as a combined K-8 and middle school where Kenmore High School was.

The construction, approved on Nov. 17, will cost $79 million, according to the Akron Public Schools spokeswoman.

Also approved was a plan to put a Circle K on a lot at 786 Brittain Rd., where there used to be a CVS. The plan includes a green space out front.
