MYSURU, CHAMARAJANAGAR: A tigress, which that had been terrorising a village in Mysuru district has been captured by the forest department on Monday night. The tigress, aged about 6-7 years, was caught near Hosabeeravalu village in Sargur taluk.
The tigress had three cubs, which have also been rescued. The Forest department used a drone camera to track the tigress’s movement. After locating the tigress, the officials administered anesthesia and captured it. Two cubs were rescued on Monday night, and the third cub was rescued on Tuesday morning. Over 40 personnel were involved in the operation to capture the tigress and rescue the cubs.
