SDG council had to decide how to pay for the reconstruction of County Road 22 on Monday and opted to lean into three reserve funds, completely draining two of them.

SDG manager of capital works Dana Grant said that as the project nears the finish line — now slightly behind its anticipated completion date of this past October — an updated financial overview was finalized, clocking the project total at an estimated $8,050,953. This falls under the $9 million that was approved in SDG’s 2025 budget.
