Boone County man found guilty after trying to meet up with who he believed was a 14

BOONE COUNTY, Ind. — A Boone County man has been found guilty after allegedly trying to meet up with who he believed was a 14-year-old girl for sex.

Evan Alexander Geeslin, 61, of Richmond, was found guilty of conspiracy to commit sexual misconduct with a minor , which is a Level 5 felony, Boone County Prosecutor Kent Eastwood said.

The prosecutor said the conviction stems from an undercover child predator sting operation conducted in Boone County in August 2023.
