The owner of a now shuttered restaurant in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, has been charged with several counts of theft and tax fraud. Officials claim he stole more than $270,000 in tax money after not paying taxes for the restaurant for at least two years.

On Tuesday, law enforcement officials in New Jersey announced charges of theft, making fraudulent tax returns and related offenses against Andrew Cosenza Jr., 57, of Cherry Hill.

Cosenza, the owner of the now shuttered restaurant, The Bistro at Cherry Hill, formerly located in the Cherry Hill Mall, did not pay the proper amount in taxes for the years of 2021 and 2022, according to investigators.
