CHICOPEE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Part of a busy Chicopee road is closed while crews work to repair a water main.

Chicopee Police said that the emergency repair is taking place along East Main Street and, as a result, the street is closed between Carew Street and Crestwood Avenue.

It’s not yet known how long the repair work will last, but it’s expected to be lengthy because of the size of the main and drivers can should anticipate the detour to be in place for at least six hours.
