In a sweet Canadiana one-two punch, alt-rocking Sam Roberts Band and lovable indie roots singer-songwriter Kathleen Edwards have both announced new tours with dates in Edmonton.
The Billboard-charting, diplomat’s daughter Edwards will be at Winspear April 2, while multi-Juno-winning Roberts celebrates the 20th anniversary of certified-platinum Chemical City in a five-night run, including an April 18 stop at the Jube.
Both artists broke onto the scene in 2002, Roberts’ pre-“Band” days with his EP The Inhuman Condition and its early hit Brother Down, Edwards meanwhile unleashing Six O’Clock News and Hockey Skates on her wonderfully-titled debut album, Failer.
