SILOAM SPRINGS — A Siloam Springs man is accused of driving while intoxicated and striking and killing a motorcyclist in a collision.

Fredy Ramirez-Guzman, 44, was arrested Sunday in connection with negligent homicide and driving while intoxicated. Prosecutors have not filed any formal charges against him.

He was being held Tuesday in the Benton County Jail with a $100,000 cash-only bond set.

The crash happened at 1:51 p.m. Sunday on Arkansas 59, just south of Siloam Springs, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Ramirez-Guzman was traveling south on the highway when the collision happened with a northbound motorcycle, according to the affidavit.

Steven Holmes, the motorcyclist, was transported to a local hospital where he died, the affidavit states.
