CALEDONIA, Minn. — The Caledonia Clinic will close in December, which critics say will leave many Southeastern Minnesota families without local medical care. A rally is planned for Saturday, where community members and healthcare advocates can gather to urge action to protect rural healthcare access. “When rural clinics close, people suffer,” organizers said. “Families shouldn’t have to drive 60 miles round trip for a well-baby check or a blood draw. This closure especially hurts our senior citizens and low-income neighbors who struggle with reliable transportation.” The event will feature speeches from locals and a call to action.
