ST PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota will launch another professional women’s volleyball team, set to begin competition in 2027.

The news was announced Tuesday by representatives from Major League Volleyball (MLV), in partnership with Minnesota Sports & Entertainment and Grand Casino Arena, the latter serving as home court for the new team.

"We are extremely excited to announce that Minnesota will be home to a new Major League Volleyball team beginning in 2027," said Craig Leipold, owner of the Minnesota Wild. "Minnesota has a strong and vibrant volleyball culture that continues to flourish. We can't wait for fans to have the opportunity to watch the best volleyball players in the world compete at Grand Casino Arena."
