Senoia employees and officers are now permitted to obtain alcohol licenses from the city.
At its Monday night meeting, the Senoia City Council removed Section 6-17 from the city's alcohol ordinance.
That portion of the ordinance prevented officers or city employees whose duties involve issuing and regulating alcohol beverage licenses and laws from obtaining an alcohol license from the city to sell or distribute alcoholic beverages.
Councilmembers Maurice Grover, Dale Reeder and Andrew Lowe approved the removal of the section of the ordinance, while Councilmember Matt Foust abstained. Mayor Dub Pearman was not in attendance.
