Cedar Creek Integrated Health and Recovery Centers will close its Bozeman clinic at the end of November — a shutdown local officials say will strain an already limited addiction-treatment system in Gallatin County.

CEO Dwight Badger said Monday the outpatient clinic has been struggling for years to be financially viable, even as demand for services remains high. While he said inadequate state funding is one factor, corporate issues and Bozeman’s high cost of living also contributed to the decision.

“We just couldn’t figure out a way to consistently break even,” Badger said. “There are a lot of people that need these vital services in Bozeman. But from a financial standpoint, we just felt like it was the best decision for our company to cease operations.”
