The BBC has confirmed that a new Line of Duty series will be produced - and some TV favourites are returning.
The hit show, written by Jed Mercurio and produced by World Productions, will return for a seventh series.
The sixth season of the police drama aired from March to May in 2021.
It was a ratings success, with its dramatic finale revealing the identity of the mysterious corrupt officer 'H'.
The seventh series will see AC-12 - the fictional anti-corruption department - disbanded and rebranded as the Inspectorate of Police Standards.
