PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Two dogs are dead after a house fire in west Phoenix on Tuesday.
Just before noon, crews from Phoenix, Glendale, and Avondale responded to reports of a fire at a home near 107th Avenue and Camelback Road . They arrived to find smoke coming from the attic.
The two people inside made it out of the house safely before first responders arrived, but their dogs were still inside. Crews went in and rescued one dog, but two others had died.
Community Assistance Program personnel are on scene to assist displaced residents.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
