LUCAN – It was a difficult evening for the Lucan Irish on Saturday, Nov. 15, as the team lost an action-packed matchup 7-4 against the Mount Brydges Bulldogs at the Lucan Biddulph Community Memorial Centre.
The Bulldogs were quick to get on the board in the first period in front of a crowd of 137 spectators, with Dylan Dundas scoring just 33 seconds into the game. Lucan’s Justin Zirul replied with a goal for the Irish at 6:38, but the Bulldogs scored their second goal of the evening, placing Mount Brydges ahead 2-1 by the end of the first frame.
The second period proved to be a repeat of the first, with Mount Brydges scoring twice, while Kevin Waters scored the lone goal of the period for Lucan at 8:51, assisted by Matthew Rutledge and Zirul.
