Friendly competition is always more fun when it supports a good cause.

That’s how players on the boys’ basketball team at Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School (CCVS) felt on Tuesday as they hosted the second-annual Pack the Pantry charity exhibition game. Last year the Raiders hosted the Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School Falcons for a few games ; this year they took on the Patriotes from L’École secondaire catholique La Citadelle.

Providing an opportunity to hit the court before the season starts, hype up school spirit, and encourage donations of non-perishable food items or hygiene products, the game served to support CCVS students who access the school’s sharing pantry.
