Cooper and Fry viewers said the same thing minutes into the Channel 5 detective series on Tuesday (November 18).

Based on the best-selling novels by Stephen Booth, the four-part series follows two mismatched young detectives as they investigate a string of mysterious deaths in the Peak District. Affable local DC Ben Cooper ( Robert James-Collier ) must work with guarded newcomer DC Diane Fry (Mandip Gill) on a series of unusual cases to get results.

The synopsis continues: "Despite Fry's scepticism of local folklore, they'll need to navigate not only the twisted paths of the cases before them, but also the shadowy beliefs that still hold sway in the hills.
