Al Green planned to run for Congress in Texas’ redrawn 18th Congressional District, but those plans may be upended after a federal court blocked Texas' redrawn congressional maps .

Green said during a press conference Tuesday, that he’s waiting until the U.S. Supreme Court weighs in before making his next move. Green has represented Texas' 9 th Congressional District for years, but announced earlier this month that he would run for the new 18 th , after the majority of his current district was redrawn.

"I will wait to see what the court does," he said. "But I will tell you this: I have been faithful to the people of the ninth congressional district. I will continue to be faithful to the people that I represent." Sign up for the Hello, H
