NATRONA, Pa. —

A federal grand jury in Pittsburgh indicted an Allegheny County man after officials said he threatened to kill his mail carrier and "shoot up" a post office.

In a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Western Pennsylvania District, 39-year-old Thomas Dorn was indicted Tuesday on charges of "communicating interstate threats, as well as threatening to assault and murder a federal official."

The indictment said around Oct. 17, 2025, Dorn called one of his victims and left voicemails threatening to injure and kill them and others. Ten days later, the indictment continued, Dorn allegedly threatened to shoot his postal carrier and then shoot up his post office.
