WASHINGTON —
Both the House and Senate acted quickly Tuesday to pass legislation that would release the Jeffrey Epstein case files, marking a rare moment of bipartisan agreement.
The legislation now heads to the President's desk, who has indicated he plans to sign it.
The President wrote on social media Tuesday evening, "I don’t care when the Senate passes the House Bill, whether tonight, or at some other time in the near future, I just don’t want Republicans to take their eyes off all of the Victories that we’ve had." Advertisement
But even with that overwhelming vote, the files’ public release remains uncertain: the Justice Department will ultimately decide what is disclosed and what remains redacted.
Pressure is mounting from both parties to make these files public. Rep. Ro Khan
