RICHMOND, Texas — Former Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley choked his underage sister with both hands and punched her in the face after sneaking out of the house, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Fort Bend County, but his attorney said the affidavit is not accurate or complete.

The 37-year-old NBA veteran was arrested early Friday morning and could face a felony charge of assault family/household member, impeding breath or circulation. Deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a house in Fort Bend County. The Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office said it has not received the case from law enforcement yet, and formal charges have not been reviewed or filed.
