All seven U.S. House members from Alabama voted Tuesday to release the so-called Jeffrey Epstein files, with some saying they hoped the documents will bring “justice” for the late sex trafficker’s victims.

The House voted 427-1 on Tuesday to release the files , with Republican Clay Higgins of Louisiana providing the lone “no” vote.

The vote occurred two days after President Donald Trump urged Republicans to vote for the release . A week ago, Trump pressured GOP members to take their names off a discharge petition that paved the way for the vote.

While every member of Alabama’s delegation -- five Republicans and two Democrats -- voted to release the files, few issued public statements explaining their vote as of 4 p.m. Tuesday.
