LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Sacred Heart and Trinity varsity lacrosse teams took the field for the 15th Annual Rock the Heart charity game Monday night.

The game involves playing with the girls’ equipment and rules. It’s always a fun night with bragging rights trading back and forth. This year, the Valkyries came out on top with the 6-5 win over the Rocks.

"It's definitely really fun, because we never get to play like boys," said Maggie Meiners. "We know the guys, and it's just fun to have that little rivalry in competition."

It's more than just bragging rights; all the proceeds from the event went to Best Buddies, an organization dedicated to ending the social, physical, and economic isolation of the 200 million people worldwide with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
