It was Organization Day at the Indiana Statehouse as lawmakers from the House and Senate gathered Tuesday to prepare for the upcoming legislative session.
With much of the attention on redistricting, the Indiana State Senate seemed to give a decisive answer on the issue by voting to reconvene on Jan. 5, 2026. That is the same day as the filing deadline for U.S. Congress, effectively ending any chance of redistricting.
