COLUMBIA — Mizzou will host the Division I NCAA Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships for the first time this year, and the event is expected to bring traffic to Columbia.

City officials are reminding residents to be aware of traffic, parking and transportation as Columbia prepares to welcome fans and teams for the event.

The races will take place at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course, located at 3100 E. Gans Road, on Saturday, Nov. 22.

The women's race begins at 9:20 a.m. The men's race begins at 10:10 a.m. Both races will be broadcast live on ESPNU.

Tickets must be purchased online .

Parking must be purchased in advance online. No parking will be available for purchase on race day.
