An 18-year-old winery in downtown Green Bay will close by the end of the month.
Captain's Walk Winery , 345 S. Adams St., will shut down on Nov. 26, according to a Facebook post by Donna McVey, the owner. In the post, McVey said it was not a decision she imagined ever making.
"We've poured our hearts, time, and dreams into this place, but we just can't sustain it any longer," she wrote.
Donna and Ross McVey purchased the business and property in October 2022 from the von Stiehl Winery, which originally launched the business in 2007.
