The Idaho Transportation Board has directed staff to award a contract to address hazardous materials at the Idaho Transportation Department’s flood-damaged former Boise headquarters and begin designing a remodel of the building.
The issue involves the Idaho Transportation Department’s former administrative headquarters, which is located on a 44-acre campus situated at 3311 W. State St. in Boise. The headquarters building flooded Jan. 2, 2022, suffered water damage and was contaminated with asbestos, resulting in the displacement of all employees working in the building, state records show.
