IBERVILLE PARISH, La. (WAFB) - Iberville Parish President Chris Daigle is defending a lease agreement with a company partially owned by a parish councilman, amid questions about potential conflicts of interest and whether the deal violated parish rules.

The parish signed a one-year lease in September 2024 with AH Angelloz Properties LLC for $1,000 per month to use land as a debris burn site. Parish Councilman Charles “Stormy” Dardenne is one of the owners of the LLC.

Both Daigle and Dardenne took office in January 2024. Eight months later, Daigle signed the lease for the burn site located off Highway 386 in a remote corner of the parish.
