A 30-year-old man was killed and four others injured Monday in a two-vehicle crash near SHI Stadium in Piscataway, authorities said.

Jesse Chacon, a township resident, was driving north on River Road around 7:15 p.m. when he lost control of his car. The vehicle spun into the southbound lane and was struck on the driver’s side by another car, according to police.

Piscataway 911 dispatchers received a cellphone notification that a motor-vehicle collision had occurred in the area and notified first-responders.

Chacon was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he was pronounced dead.

Four people in the second car were injured, with three requiring hospitalization.’

Police on Tuesday were continuing their investigation.
