EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Friends of Alex Hessler are doing what they can to preserve his legacy.
Hessler is the 14-year-old who was killed in a car crash in Vanderburgh County this weekend.

Alex’s friends remember him as a smiling and welcoming person who was very involved in his faith. They say his faith is a big part in the legacy he’s left behind.
“Alex, whenever I talked with him, brought me back to God. He led me in the right direction,” Holden Sargent, Alex’s friend and one of the organizers of the bible study group said. “And then, Neil texted me one day and said, ‘Hey, I’m starting a bible study’ and I was like, ‘Wow, God is calling me.’”
