DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Heavy thunderstorms ran across parts of the state earlier today. Small hail covered the ground in a couple of these storms while hail clusters came together to form over 2.5" diameter damaging hail. Thankfully, there were no reports of injuries.
In the wake of Tuesday's storm, we'll have a break through Wednesday night, although low clouds will be a sticking point for many. Our next storm, situated currently over southern California, will follow the path of least resistance. That path will keep the storm mostly off to the south come Thursday, so don't expect a repeat performance from Mother Nature.
Stay weather-aware and stay tuned.
