HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Connecticut lawmakers and educators are pushing back against the Trump administration’s efforts to dismantle the Department of Education by moving key programs to other federal agencies.

House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro and Rep. Joe Courtney, along with the Connecticut Education Association, released statements Monday opposing the plan announced by Education Secretary Linda McMahon.
