Nutley, NJ – Two attempted home burglaries just hours apart sent police scrambling across town Monday as separate groups of suspects tried to break into residences on Grant Avenue and Beech Street, prompting an active investigation by the Nutley Police Department.
The first incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Grant Avenue, where three male suspects dressed in dark hooded sweatshirts, sweatpants, black face masks, and gloves tried to access a vehicle parked in the driveway. After failing to enter the vehicle, they moved to the back of the residence and attempted to enter through a window. The suspects reportedly arrived and fled the scene in a white Acura, possibly a TLX model.
