A man, who was allegedly engaged in a four-hour stand-off with the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office after putting a gun to his wife's neck and threatening to kill her made his first court appearance Nov. 17.

In a news release from the sheriff's office, it said on Nov. 14 at around 5 p.m., deputies went to a home on Mariner Drive in Kings Mountain in response to a call for an assault involving a firearm and possible kidnapping.
