SCHENECTADY — MVP Health Care on Tuesday announced it is seeking to expand through a new affiliation with a Buffalo-based health insurance company that top executives from both companies say will benefit patients at a time of rapid change.
The affiliation with Independent Health is still pending regulatory approval, but has the potential to create a network of nearly 1 million members across New York and Vermont and bring in $7 billion in revenue annually. More than 3,000 would be employed under the pending deal, according to Christopher Del Vecchio, CEO of MVP Health Care.
