LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Tuesday marks two weeks since a UPS plane crashed in Louisville, leaving 14 people dead and several others hurt.
The crash happened around 5:15 p.m. on Nov. 4 and caused a massive fire, with plumes of smoke spanning nearly a mile around the crash scene. The MD-11 plane crashed during takeoff at the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. Advertisement
All three UPS workers on board the aircraft died in the crash.
In an update on Tuesday, UPS Airlines president Bill Moore said he has been in direct contact with all the families of all 14 victims who died and that UPS will cover funeral costs.
The 14 people who died have been identified as:
Capt. Dana Diamond, 62
Capt. Richard Wartenberg, 57
First Officer Lee Truitt, 45
Angela Anderson, 45
Carlos Fernandez
