GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The NEW Community Shelter breaks ground on a $14 million supportive housing project on Mather Street in Green Bay.
The project will add 41 units designed for those experiencing chronic homelessness who struggle to maintain stable housing.
Residents will have access to case management, life skill training, mental health, and AODA support, giving them the necessary skills and permanent housing to break the cycle.
“This building isn’t just housing, it’s a promise that they will not fall through the cracks, that their progress won’t be temporary, that they have a place to call home while they continue to grow, heal, and thrive,” Katie Sprister, Director of Programming for NEW Community Shelter, said.
