WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) - At the annual State of the City luncheon November 18th, Mayor Staci Albritton Mitchell delivered a clear message: West Monroe is investing heavily in infrastructure to improve residents’ quality of life and prepare for future growth.
Hosted by the West Monroe–West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce, the event drew business leaders, civic partners, and residents to the West Monroe Convention Center. The mayor highlighted projects aimed at tackling chronic flooding, modernizing aging sewer systems, and revitalizing the city’s riverfront.
“This is about reliability, safety, and making sure our neighborhoods thrive,” Mitchell said. “We’ve made progress, but we’re not stopping here.”
