What started as a precautionary measure has quietly gotten the rumor mill churning, but the facts of the matter haven’t changed.
As it stands right now, the Smithfield football team will travel to play North Providence on Wednesday, Nov. 26, for their annual Thanksgiving game.
“Yes,” said Smithfield athletic director Glenn Castiglia when asked if the Sentinels would still be playing their annual holiday game. “Unless I am told differently or directed differently, we have every intention to play.”
