GEORGETOWN, Ind. —

An 81-year-old man died after a house fire just after midnight in Georgetown, Indiana.

The victim has been identified by the Floyd County Coroner as Normand Lee; the cause of death is pending autopsy and toxicology results.

Tony Lee, the victim’s son who lives next door, said a neighbor woke him by pounding on his window.

"Open the window, and he's like, 'Your dad's house is on fire.' I tried to get in, but I couldn't get in. So, I jumped up, grabbed the fire extinguisher, headed over, and tried to get in the side door, and just flames were so bad," he said.

Lee is struggling with the loss.
